Welcome to PlacePins ("PlacePins", "we", "us", "our"). By using placepins.com and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What PlacePins is

PlacePins lets users publish location-based Pins that appear on a live local map and feed. Pins can include text, images, and embedded media links. PinTime keeps pins live. Pins may pause when PinTime runs out. You can add more time anytime and resume.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age required in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information where required (e.g., email for magic links).
• Use the Service lawfully.
• Only upload content you have the rights to use.
• Do not post prohibited content (see Acceptable Use Policy).

4. Pins are public

Pins are generally public and may be indexed by search engines unless they are paused/deleted/hidden. Do not post anything private you do not want publicly visible.

5. Content ownership and license

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting content to PlacePins, you grant PlacePins a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and make your content available as part of the Service.

6. Embeds and third-party content

If you share an embed link or URL (e.g., TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook), that content is owned and governed by the third party. We do not guarantee embed availability.

7. Payments, extensions and refunds

PinTime keeps pins live.

• 10p per hour ( £1 = 24 hours ).
• PinTime is only used while your pin is live.
• Paused pins don't use time. Unused time is saved.
• You'll see the total before you pay.
• Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Top-ups add PinTime to your Wallet or a specific pin.
• Refunds are generally not available for time already used, except where required by law.

8. Paused and deleted Pins

• Owners may pause or delete their Pins.
• Paused Pins are removed from the feed and show a paused page.
• Deleted Pins are removed from the feed and no longer publicly accessible.
• We may also pause, hide, or remove Pins for moderation or legal reasons.

9. Moderation and reporting

We may review content and remove or restrict access to content that violates policies or laws. Users may report content. Repeated reports may automatically hide Pins pending review.

10. Account access via magic links

We use email magic links instead of passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. If you lose email access, you may lose access to manage your Pins.

11. Service availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlacePins is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold PlacePins harmless from claims arising out of your content or misuse of the Service.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will post an updated effective date.
